Unity Community Food Pantry
The Unity in Community Food Pantry has been a collaborative effort between Shaker Heights residents, neighborhood associations, and congregations to provide free food for those who are vulnerable during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The City Mission, Cleveland
The City Mission empowers men, women, and children in crisis to overcome their unique, complex paths to homelessness. Because no one person’s needs are the same, we create individualized, comprehensive programs to assist clients in building their stabilized and independent future. Our mission to reach hearts and change lives in Cleveland has not waivered since 1910, and we will continue to provide basic needs, critical recovery resources, and practical paths to a sustainable future to all seeking help and hope here.
Kaleidoscope K9s is a small group of people who try to help as many puppies and dogs that have been displaced through no fault of their own. All of the dogs are checked by a vet, altered and updated on all vaccinations prior to going to a home.
We are all volunteers who do the best that we can with the limited funds and resources available to us. We give the potential adopter as much information as we can, including copies of all vet records but we normally do not know the history of the dogs, as they are strays at the pound. Very rarely do we have owner releases. All dogs in our program were minutes away from being put to sleep so the pound could make space for more strays.
